Recording Dog Title and Health Information in the UDC Registry

The UDC Administrator of Records receives a copy of all show results from UDC sanctioned trials and shows. Any new titles earned at a UDC sanctioned event will be recorded and become a permanent part of the dog's individual record.

For events sanctioned by other organizations (AKC, DVG, USA, etc.), the UDC Administrator of Records does not automatically receive notification of the titles earned. The dog's owner must provide new title and/or health information updates to the UDC Administrator of Records.

To submit updates, copy your scorebook or health test results and mail it to the UDC Administrator of Records (address below) via snail mail. You may also scan the information and provide it as as an email attachment.

Official UDC Dog Reports

During January of each year, the UDC Administrator of Records will send an official UDC dog report to the owners of all dogs with a UDC (AWDF) scorebook. Owners should review this report closely to determine whether the recorded titles are correct. If the UDC registry needs to be updated with new titles or health information, owners should provide copies of documentation via snail mail or email attachment.

Owners will not receive a report if:

  1. the UDC Administrator of Records does not have a current address for the owner. Owners are responsible for updating address changes with the UDC Membership Secretary. If a dog report is returned to the UDC Administrator of Records because of a bad address, the bad address will be deleted from the registry. When the bad address has been updated, you will receive an updated dog report.
  2. the UDC Administrator of Records has received notice that the dog is deceased. While the Administrator of Records regularly monitors the UDC official list for such announcements, it is the responsibility of the owner to contact the Administrator of Records directly to give date and cause of death.
  3. a dog is 15 years or older, and the Administrator of Records is unable to confirm with the owner that the dog is still alive. The Administrator of Records will make a reasonable effort to contact the dog owner. If unable to confirm that the dog is still alive, the Administrator of Records will enter "PRESUMED DEAD" dead into the dog's record, and the owner will no longer receive a report.
